Big Mac Rice Paper Croissant: A Crispy, Cheesy Twist on the Classic Burger

Lately, I’ve been having way too much fun reimagining the classics. After making that hamburger spiral for my mom—equal parts nostalgic and delicious—I couldn’t resist taking the Big Mac for another spin.
Once again, I skipped the bun and went with rice paper—only this time, I rolled all those familiar Big Mac flavors into a croissant-shaped twist.
Because why not?
I love exploring in the kitchen and seeing just how far I can stretch an idea without losing the magic of what makes it great. This one’s crispy on the outside, melty on the inside, and packed with all the Big Mac-y goodness: seasoned beef, pickles, cheese, and yes, I made mine with my special burger sauce (comment below if you want the recipe).
This Big Mac Rice Paper Croissant is fun, weirdly elegant, and... it might just be my favorite bite of the week.

Big Mac Rice Paper Croissant Recipe
Ingredients
8 rice paper sheets
2 eggs
1/2 cup sautéed ground beef
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella
2 tbsp diced onion
2 tbsp diced pickles
Sesame seeds
Paprika
Garlic powder
Instructions
Start by combining your filling, mix together sautéed ground beef, mozzarella, diced onions and pickles. Season with salt, pepper, paprika and garlic powder.
Whisk together eggs on a plate, then dip four rice paper sheets, one at a time, before stacking on top of each other on an oiled cutting board.
Use a pair of scissors to cut a triangle shape out of the middle of the stacked rice paper. Take the two half moon shaped end pieces and overlap them on one end, and leave them 2 inches apart on the other. So they kind of look like Pac-Man. Then place the triangle right down the middle, so the whole thing looks like the letter M.
Spoon the filling in a line across the wide end of the triangle, then carefully roll the whole thing up onto a croissant shape.
Brush with a bit of the egg wash and top with sesame seeds.
Bake at 400F for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Serve with your favorite burger sauce. Enjoy!
